We are so excited to introduce our exclusive Bella Luna Toys Northern Coast Playsilk Collection from Sarah's Silks! Our love for nature and our roots on the majestic Maine Coast inspired this beautiful and lustrous palette.

With names that evoke the magic of the woods and waters, such as fiddlehead, gooseberry, moss agate, rosehip, and tidewater, these silks will transport imaginations deep into nature. Each 35 x 35-inch silk can become a forest floor, a rocky shore, a field of flowers, or whatever your child dreams up.

Playsilks are a quintessential Waldorf toy as they nourish the senses and encourage endless hours of open-ended creative play. Children love using playsilks for dress-up, puppet shows, and to build scenes with wooden animals or small toys. They also add spots of color and dimension to a seasonal nature table.

Note: Playsilks are sold individually, and are solid colors, not graduated.

Poor quality, many snags and loose strings

"The size and color are nice for playing but out of the packaging, there were loose strings and the hem was uneven and bunching from the threads being pulled. Some of the edges are also fuzzy already. The scarves are very sheer which make them light weight and good for floating in the air but end up looking flimsy and feeling cheaply made."

A huge hit for open-ended play

"The play silks have been a total favorite in our house. Although they’re recommended for ages two and up, our 12-month-old absolutely loves them. Peekaboo is his favorite game—whether he’s putting them over his own head or we’re putting them over ours and dramatically pulling them off. They’re lightweight, breathable, and slightly see-through, which makes them feel safe and not scary for him. He also loves stuffing them in and out of a box like a reusable tissue box. We much prefer these natural, beautifully colored silks over synthetic alternatives. The colors are gorgeous, and the open-ended play value has been wonderful. Highly recommend."
