Charming but Disappointing

"While the doll is lovely because of its materials, simplicity, and weigh, it is not as shown on the images. I had the first one replaced thinking it my be a fluke but the second one was the same. They are significantly smaller than the 14" claimed. The dolls in the photos look a lot more substantial than they actually are. The second part that is really disappointing is that the head shape and size are not correct. They also look very substantial/full in the photos but in person are flat and have no definition of the cheeks and bottom of the face. Very flat--not as shown. I want to clarify this because I think for the cost, people should know what they are getting. Also, where the stitching on the mouth is concerned, it looks too tight l/to be pulling on the fabric and I'm worried it will tear at some point. Again, too much money for something that is not as expected and has these kinds of qualoty control issues. I would have returned it but it was a gift for my daughter's second birthday and she does love to carry it around. I hope it holds up at least. I had intended on ordering one of another color later on but I will have to pass on that after this experience, unfortunately."
